Scott Laughton Reveals How He Plans to Avenge Anthony Stolarz

Scott Laughton is someone who certainly cares deeply about his teammates and that is a huge reason behind why the Toronto Maple Leafs wanted to trade for him.

Although the Laughton trade was a bit controversial at first, there is no doubt that the fans have come around on him, especially thanks to his grit in the playoffs.

Following the injury to Anthony Stolarz at the hands of Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett, some fans are actually looking towards Laughton as one of the players who might retaliate.

Today after morning skate, Scott Laughton spoke to reporters. According to Mark Masters, the forward was asked whether or not the Leafs would respond to Bennett.

The veteran center gave an exceptional answer noting that the only way to get revenge is by winning. Then and only then will your opponent respect you. It is a good message, even if some fans are out for blood.

Game 2 is going to be fascinating and we're sure that the fans are very curious about how the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to come out in this game.

The Florida Panthers will be looking to up the physicality, and the the Leafs will have to figure out how to manage that as the game goes on.

With a 1-0 lead in the series, the Leafs should be trying to up their lead instead of enacting retribution. Focusing on playing hockey will lead to a win.

As for Scott Laughton, it would be amazing to see him get his first goal of the playoffs. Although that is easier said than done.
