The Toronto Maple Leafs Have a Major Goaltending Problem on their Hands

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll has given the team a string of bad performances while Dennis Hildeby has been wildly inconsistent at times.
Last night,
Joseph Woll was in goal for the Toronto Maple Leafs and his performance was not up to par as he let in four goals on 23 shots.
It was the third-straight loss for the Maple Leafs and the third-straight poor performance from their goaltenders.
Joseph Woll in a slump, Dennis Hildeby not ready
Sticking with Woll right now, the goalie infamously laid an egg against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday last week.
He allowed five goals on 33 shots and it was pretty clear to everyone that there were a few pucks he should have stopped.
Meanwhile, in between those bad performances,
Dennis Hildeby allowed three goals on 19 shots against the Vancouver Canucks.
If you want to win games at the NHL level, these kinds of performances simply are not going to fly.
Woll's goals-against average has risen to 2.65 while his save percentage has dropped down to .908.
As for Hildeby, he currently has a goals-against average of 3.18 and a save percentage of .891. Those numbers just aren't good enough to win against the best teams.
If they continue to get these kinds of lackluster performances from their goaltenders, then they can kiss first place in the Atlantic Division goodbye.
Hopefully, Woll and Hildeby can bounce back before relying on the return of Stolarz.
