Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz left Tuesday's game against the Boston Bruins early, as he suffered what appeared to be an upper-body injury.

Anthony Stolarz was one of the best goalies in the NHL last season, although that has certainly not been the case throughout the 2025-26 campaign.
The goaltender has largely struggled throughout the early portions of the season, and on Tuesday night, he was pulled for the second time in as many games.
However, halfway through the game, it was revealed that Stolarz had actually suffered an upper-body injury and couldn't continue.
As a result, Dennis Hildeby was asked to come in as part of a relief effort. Unfortunately, he allowed two more goals, and the Leafs lost by a score of 5-3.

Craig Berube offers reassurance on Anthony Stolarz

After the game, Berube was asked about the two injuries the Leafs suffered throughout the game. Of course, the first was Stolarz, but the second was a lower-body injury to captain Auston Matthews.
As it pertains to Stolarz, Berube noted that the goaltender simply tweaked something, and he isn't expected to miss a lot of time, if any.
Meanwhile, the Auston Matthews news isn't particularly positive as it was revealed that the forward is currently dealing with a lower-body injury that needs further evaluation.
The Leafs are going to be back in action on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings, and there is no telling if Matthews is going to be available.
A similar fate can be said about Stolarz, considering the fact that he still tweaked something, and he may be looking to take some time away to get it back to 100 percent.
Whatever the case may be, the Maple Leafs are not in a good spot right now, and things could spiral out of control if they don't get some good news.
