Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz was looking for revenge against the Boston Bruins, although things ended in disastrous fashion.
Anthony Stolarz allowed four goals on 19 shots against the Boston Bruins on Saturday, and it led to all sorts of discourse about his performance.
Subsequently, the goaltender got a chance to redeem himself on Tuesday in a rematch against the Bruins. Most fans figured he would play well. As it turns out, they were wrong.
In the first period, the goaltender allowed three goals on 10 shots and was pulled after the period.
Dennis Hildeby started the second period and allowed a goal very early on.

What makes this very interesting is that Stolarz was nowhere to be found after being pulled. He was not on the bench to start the period.
Clearly, the netminder was upset about his predicament, and it appears as though he has opted to stay back in the locker room as his team plays without him.
If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, you can't help but worry about the Stolarz situation, which has deteriorated from the very first week of the season.
The Leafs are a team that is on the verge of a three-game losing streak. With a loss, they will dip below .500, which is unacceptable.
Hildeby hasn't been the answer either, and forcing him to play in three straight games is certainly not going to go over very well.
Only time will tell whether or not the goaltending situation gets any better, or if this continues to devolve further and cause the Leafs issues.
We hope that Stolarz can break out of this, and that he is keeping himself sane during this rough stretch of hockey.
