After two losses in a row, the Toronto Maple Leafs have been on the hot seat when it comes to goaltending. Tonight, they play the Boston Bruins on the road.
In the first of those matches,
Anthony Stolarz was pulled after giving up four goals on 19 shots. It was a bad game and one that he wants back.
As for
Dennis Hildeby, he turned aside 42 shots in the game that he lost, yet fans are still finding themselves clamoring for the return of
Joseph Woll.
Tonight, the Maple Leafs are playing against the Boston Bruins again, and a big decision had to be made regarding the starting goaltender.
Unsurprisingly, the Maple Leafs have opted to go with none other than Anthony Stolarz. After all, he has more experience and, by all accounts, is the starter right now.
He will be looking to have a redemption game tonight. Goalies love to get revenge on the teams that light them up, and tonight, Stolarz can do just that.
If you are a Leafs fan, it is easy to be a bit jaded heading into this game, as the Leafs have not been what the fans were hoping this season.
They are sixth in the Atlantic Division, and are at a real risk of not making the playoffs unless they start stringing together wins at a reasonable rate.
Tonight will be the perfect opportunity for this Leafs team to get itself back in gear and potentially go on a nice winning streak.
