Toronto Maple Leafs Give Veteran Goalie a Second Chance After Dennis Hildeby's Awful Night

Dennis Hildeby let in four goals on 18 shots against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday night and it ultimately led to a 5-1 loss.
Just moments ago, the Maple Leafs made a massive announcement as it was revealed that goaltender Matt Murray has been recalled to the team.
Meanwhile, Hildeby is being sent back down to the AHL where he will get some much-needed reps in with
the Toronto Marlies.
Murray currently has a goals-against average of 1.68 and a save percentage of .934 in the AHL this season, and he definitely deserves the opportunity.
The two-time Stanley Cup champion has gotten two starts with the Maple Leafs this season.
While his statistics in these two games aren't fantastic, he has more experience than Hildeby which is needed right now, especially with
Anthony Stolarz injured.
The team has been noticeably wary about putting Hildeby in the net and last night proved why this has been the case.
With Stolarz returning in a couple of weeks from now, it remains to be seen how many games
Matt Murray will get to start.
However, this is definitely an exciting prospect and it will be interesting to see if he can turn this opportunity into a potential NHL shot elsewhere.
