Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Anthony Stolarz has been sensational so far this season and there is no doubt that he will be a factor in the NHL Playoffs, starting Sunday.
Anthony Stolarz is someone who has ascended to new heights this season. Although he has been a career back up goalie, he now looks like a starter.
His numbers certainly tell that story as he has a goals-against average of 2.14 and a save percentage of .926. Moreover, he has four shutouts this season.
He has three shutouts in the last four games which is perfect timing when you consider how the Leafs are about to enter the playoffs.

In the last eight games, Stolarz has won every single match and he even has a save percentage of .950. This is absolutely sensational stuff.
While talking to reporter Mark Masters, Stolarz admitted that this is the best hockey he has played in his entire life, which is amazing for fans to hear.

Fans are going to be hoping for this to continue well into the postseason. Of course, there are no guarantees but Stolarz has proven he can hang with the big boys.
Once the playoffs start on Sunday, Stolarz will be locked in. If he plays like he has been, then the Senators don't have much of a chance.
A goaltender who can steal games is something the Leafs have needed for a long time. Now, they are arguably have two guys who can do that.
Only time will tell whether or not Anthony Stolarz really does have what it takes to make a deep run when it matters most.
