Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs are playing the Carolina Hurricanes, and after a bad night from Anthony Stolarz, Craig Berube has made a strong decision.
This decision was complicated, as
Dennis Hildeby had to come in the net. He was scheduled to play tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes, so his appearance last night raised some questions.
After all, it's not every day you see a goaltender play in back-to-back games. On the flip side of that, Stolarz would face the same fate.
Just moments ago, Leafs head coach Craig Berube made his decision final, and it is one that fans can certainly agree with.
According to the Leafs' head coach, Dennis Hildeby is going to be the starting goaltender against the Hurricanes.
The reason for this is simple. Stolarz has been overworked, and the head coach wants to make sure that his netminder finally gets a break.
Goaltender
Joseph Woll is expected to return to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the not-so-distant future, and this will definitely help out the team.
Stolarz will finally get some rest, and in turn, he might start playing a lot better. Fans know the Leafs need that right now.
A win against the Carolina Hurricanes would be huge, especially when you think about just how bad the team has been during certain stretches of the season.
Hildeby has a lot of pressure on him right now, so it will be fascinating to see how all of this ends up playing out.
