After a loss against the Boston Bruins on Saturday night, Toronto Maple Leafs forward John Tavares is revealing whether or not the panic button should be pressed.

John Tavares has been having himself a good season, especially with 19 points in the first 15 games of the NHL regular season.
Unfortunately, the Maple Leafs have not been having the results to match. For instance, the team has a record of 8-6-1, and they just lost 5-3 to the Boston Bruins.
Goaltending was a real problem on Saturday, although there were plenty of reasons for the team's poor showing. Tavares did not mince words about it.

John Tavares speaks on the Toronto Maple Leafs' struggles

As he told the media, the Leafs are not upholding the standards they have always set for themselves. However, he also doesn't think the team is in a dire situation.
It is an interesting take that not every Maple Leafs fan is going to blindly agree with. When asked if the team should hit the panic button, Tavares simply said no.
I don't think we're in a horrible spot, but certainly I don't think we've maintained the level of play that we expect and what our standard is, (we've not been) as consistent as we'd like to be at the start of the season. No reason for panic.
Tonight will be interesting for the Toronto Maple Leafs, as they look to play the Carolina Hurricanes and have a bounce-back win.
Given what transpired with Anthony Stolarz and Dennis Hildeby last night, there is no telling which goalie will end up getting the start.
As for John Tavares, he will have to carry his second-line teammates on Sunday and try to score the goals necessary to secure a win.
With the Atlantic Division tightening up, there is no choice for the Leafs. They must start winning more games.
