Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Ben Danford is looking to show off his talents this season, and recently, he got an invite that proves just how much potential he has.
Ben Danford was the 31st overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, and since that time, the defenseman has been working towards an NHL career.
As captain of the Oshawa Generals, Danford was heralded as one of the best players in the OHL last season, and Leafs fans have been paying attention.
However, he remains one of the better defensive prospects in Canada right now, and the Leafs are excited about his future.

On Tuesday, Danford was able to take the next step in his NHL career, as he wsa invited to the NHLPA Rookie Showcase, which takes place next week in Washington, DC.
Below, you can find some of the other prospects that will be attending. Ultimately, Danford will be in elite company.
For now, it still remains to be seen what is next for Danford and his career. There is no telling whether or not he will actually play for the Leafs someday.
If he does play for the Leafs, it is believed that he will be on the third-pairing. This wouldn't make him a superstar, but it's enough to prove the doubters wrong.
No matter what, we are looking forward to watching him play with the Leafs in the future.
