Overall, making a starting goalie decision is not easy, especially when you are playing a back-to-back immediately after
the 4 Nations Face-Off.
Toronto Maple Leafs set their starting goalies
The Leafs will be playing the Carolina Hurricanes tonight and tomorrow, they have to play against the Chicago Blackhawks.
This morning, the team was on the ice for morning skate and according to Mark Masters, the starting goalie situation for the next two nights has been made crystal clear.
Anthony Stolarz will be getting the start on Saturday night against the Hurricanes. Meanwhile, Woll will get to play tomorrow against the Blackhawks.
Stolarz has been one of the best goalies in the entire NHL this season when he is healthy, so it should come as no surprise that he would get the start against the better team.
The Leafs have struggled against the best teams in the NHL, which means tonight is a great opportunity to get back near the top.
Fans want to see the absolute best out of this team, and it is important for them to get some wins coming out of the break.
If they can get a winning streak going, then perhaps they will overtake the
Florida Panthers for first in
the Atlantic Division. No matter what, there are going to be a lot of eyes on this game.
