On Saturday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs will be taking on the Edmonton Oilers in what should be a pretty good game.
The Leafs have won four out of their last five and have proven to be an effective team despite the absence of Auston Matthews in the lineup.
At practice, the team has had to adapt, especially with Max Domi taking a day of rest. According to Mark Masters, the lines and defensive pairing have actually been switched up.
As you will see, Tavares and McMann were bumped up to the top line, while Knies found himself on the second line with Nick Robertson and William Nylander.
This might not be the final lineup on Saturday night as Domi will be coming back into the lineup.
Having said that, these are some interesting lines and practicing like this will offer the Leafs quite a bit of flexibility if they need it come game day.
Hopefully, this Leafs team is ready for a challenge against the heavy firepower of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
In fact, McDavid just got his 1000th point in the NHL. This was a huge accomplishment, and he will be playing on a high.
