Toronto Maple Leafs to Address Significant Issue Involving Fan Noise at Scotiabank Arena

This season, Toronto Maple Leafs fans had a ton of complaints about Scotiabank Arena and how the atmosphere wasn't up to snuff.
The consensus is that tickets are too expensive in the lower bowl and that this is attracting businessmen types who don't like to make a lot of noise.
Ticket prices are set to go up again next season, and this has the potential to exacerbate the problem to new heights.
Toronto Maple Leafs want to change Scotiabank Arena
However, according to Lance Hornby of The Toronto Sun, MLSE CEO Keith Pelley is looking into the issue and wants to make a change.
He understands that fans are concerned, and he wants the Leafs to have home ice advantage at their own arena.
"The Maple Leafs upper management will spend the offseason studying and looking at ways to improve their home-ice advantage by getting fans more engaged," Hornby wrote. "Ownership has taken notice of the playoff atmosphere. MLSE CEO Keith Pelley was excited by the energy from fans during the postseason but believes that level of intensity should be there every game. Now that he's taking on some of Brendan Shanahan's responsibilities, creating that kind of environment is on his to-do list."
Pelley himself explained how he realizes just how important it is for the players to connect with the fans in the middle of a game.
«It's about how players connect with fans-and how we as an organization connect with the media. I've worked in media, so I know how important it is. We need to be more open and present with both the media and the fans. Putting together a strong, detailed plan this offseason is a top priority.»
Quite frankly, there is only one solution here, and that is lower ticket prices. Unfortunately, that likely isn't feasible.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs organization can really fix this issue or if there is absolutely no use at all.
