Team Canada head coach Jon Cooper had a very simple message for Connor McDavid and Mitch Marner before they won the 4 Nations Face-Off in overtime.
Jon Cooper had some tough decisions to make in overtime as Team Canada was in a sudden death situation against the Americans at the 4 Nations Face-Off.
However, after an icing on Team USA, the Tampa Bay Lightning bench boss decided to throw out Mitch Marner and Connor McDavid, which proved to be genius.

Now that the game is over and Canada has the 4 Nations Face-Off trophy, we are getting some amazing behind-the-scenes footage from the tournament.
Below, you can watch Cooper as he makes the decision to throw out Marner and McDavid on the faceoff in the American zone.
In fact, he had a very simple message for his forwards and this message was well-received as McDavid did what he was told.
"Somebody be selfish and shoot it in the net."
You have to admire that job that Cooper did as the head coach of Team Canada. He kept them composed and they went out and did their thing.
This was by no means Canada's best team at a best-on-best tournament, but they got the play they needed to win.
They also got timely goaltending from Jordan Binnington who is an absolute national treasure at this stage.
Ultimately, if you are a Canadian, you have to be proud of everything this team accomplished given the stage and the moment.
