10 Free Agents Emerge as Viable Options for the Toronto Maple Leafs

The Toronto Maple Leafs are going to have to be one of the most active teams in free agency, and there are 10 free agents they have a realistic shot at acquiring.
Free agency is officially a month away, which means general manager Brad Treliving and company will be looking to find the best players available.
With Mitch Marner likely to be on his way out, it is important for the Leafs to find some viable replacements for their superstar winger.
While there is currently no one available who can match his production, there is no doubt that the Leafs would then be able to afford multiple players who can at least fill some of the gaps.
Toronto Maple Leafs free agency targets
Leafs Latest on Twitter came through with some very interesting names that the Leafs could pursue in free agency. 10 to be exact.
Of course, Sam Bennett and Brad Marchand were on the list, which is no surprise. Nikolaj Ehlers was also placed in the Top 10 alongside guys like Matt Duchene and Brock Nelson.
However, some of the surprises here were Ryan Donato, Yanni Gourde, Brock Boeser, Brandon Tanev, and even Claude Giroux.
When it comes to filling out this Leafs roster, Brad Treliving won't be allowed to be picky. He is going to have to make some decisions before other teams scoop these guys up.
It has also been stated that the Toronto Maple Leafs are looking at acquiring Jonathan Toews, who is about to make an NHL comeback.
This is going to be a very exciting offseason, and we cannot wait to see how all of this plays out. That said, the Marner situation will be the first order of business.
For all intents and purposes, it would appear as though Leafs fans should just forget the idea of Marner coming back for another eight years.
