Mitch Marner Grows His Free Agency Wish List to Eight Teams

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner is likely to become a free agent on July 1st, and it seems like his wish list continues to grow, much to the chagrin of fans.
Mitch Marner is probably leaving the Toronto Maple Leafs this summer, and there is a lot of fanfare around his decision, especially in Toronto.
As it stands, Leafs fans are split on the Marner issue. Some want him gone, while others would love for him to stick around for the long haul.
However, as general manager Brad Treliving explained, this team's DNA needs to change, and that means guys like Marner and perhaps even John Tavares need to go.
Where is Mitch Marner signing in free agency?
Throughout the last couple of weeks, there has been a lot of speculation about where the superstar will go and which teams are at the top of his wish list.
Based on a recent report, it appeared as though Marner had his list down to two teams: the Las Vegas Golden Knights and the Florida Panthers.
That said, it is always good to have an abundance of options. In fact, according to David Pagnotta, the winger has increased his wish list to seven or eight teams.
One of the teams just so happens to be the Los Angeles Kings, who are a squad on the up and up. Adding Mitch Marner could do wonders.
Meanwhile, there has been speculation that the Anaheim Ducks might make a run at Marner as they can offer him more money than anyone else.
These next few weeks are going to be fascinating. The Leafs have no guarantee that they will even offer the forward an extension.
If one thing is for certain, it is that this is one of the most important offseasons in the entire history of the Toronto Maple Leafs franchise.
