Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz is currently going viral on social media after pulling Philadelphia Flyers Trevor Zegras out of a scrum.
Anthony Stolarz was looking to have a bounce-back game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, and for the most part, that is exactly what happened.
He looked confident in the net, and he had a nice command of the crease, which is what you want to see from a starting goaltender.
Not to mention, he was aggressive with opposing players, which led to a pretty hilarious moment involving Flyers forward Trevor Zegras.
Anthony Stolarz shows no mercy to Trevor Zegras
As you can see below, Zegras was involved with a scrum, and Stolarz was not having any of it. This led to the goaltender pulling Zegras aside.
The clip ended up going viral on social media, with many claiming that the goaltender successfully manhandled Zegras with ease.
On Monday, the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to play the Pittsburgh Penguins, and it is clear that Stolarz needs to be the starter.
Cayden Primeau has not been good for the Leafs, and with Stolarz in the net, the team will have a lot more confidence that they can win.
Overall, it is going to be fascinating to watch the Maple Leafs over this stretch, as their record of 6-5-1 simply won't be good enough to secure a high placement in the Atlantic Division.
A string of wins here would set the Leafs up nicely, and it would also allow Stolarz to get back into the right head space.
