Toronto Maple Leafs forward Easton Cowan has had some rough patches to start the season, although he has certainly been one of the team's most exciting players.
Easton Cowan has had an up-and-down start so far with the Toronto Maple Leafs, as he has a goal and three assists in 10 games.
The forward has played all throughout the lineup, although he has been unable to build chemistry with a specific line for a considerable amount of time.
Ultimately, this is a huge reason for the inconsistency. Having said that, head coach Craig Berube still has to make some tough decisions.
Easton Cowan likely to be scratched by Toronto Maple Leafs
According to Mark Masters, this had Cowan wearing a grey jersey at practice on Tuesday, which suggests he is going to be scratched.
Sammy Blais and
Calle Jarnkrok were also wearing grey jerseys. However, with Laughton coming back, that means we could end up seeing Cowan sent down to the AHL.

As for the fans, they are very clearly not happy with the decision, as they believe
Max Domi should be the first player to get scratched.
Whatever the case may be, it is clear that Cowan is, in fact, an NHL-caliber player. Whether or not he will get to continue to show that remains to be seen.
Hopefully, the team and his head coach continue to give him chances.
