Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews spoke to reporters after last night's win against the Philadelphia Flyers, with a focus on defenseman Chris Tanev.
Tanev was down on the ice for a while, and as he lay motionless, the medical staff rushed onto the ice to help him.

The Leafs won the game 5-2, but that was the last thing on their minds following the match.
While speaking to reporters, captain Auston Matthews spoke about the emotions watching Tanev go down.
«It's a tough feeling,» Matthews said. «He's such an integral part of this team and a guy that brings so much experience. And anytime you know they're bringing out a stretcher, it's never a good feeling deep inside. So, we're all thinking about him and praying for him and hoping for the best.»
Nick Robertson went on to say something similar, noting that he will be praying for Tanev.
«Very unfortunate,» Nick Robertson said. «I'll be praying for him. You know, he's come back from a head injury, and you don't wanna see something like that.»
There was some hope that Tanev would travel with the Maple Leafs as they head back to Toronto, which shows that the situation might not be so bad.
That said, Chris Tanev recently came back from a concussion, which makes this latest injury that much worse.
We are hoping for a speedy recovery as you never want to see a player go through something like this.
