It was pretty fun. Obviously, you get there, and you kind of hear some stories about the media and the fans, but I thought it was a good year. It wasn't too much for me, I'm a pretty easygoing guy, so I think that helps. The biggest thing for me being in Toronto was just walking around and seeing how passionate the fans are. They live and breathe Toronto Maple Leafs hockey, so it's extra motivation for you as a player to go out there and deliver what they're all craving.
Overall, the Toronto Maple Leafs are a much better team with Mitch Marner on it, but he couldn't handle the pressure, and Stolarz's comments prove that.
At the end of the day, the Leafs should only want players who are actually interested in playing for a passionate city.
Marner wasn't that player, and now, the Maple Leafs need to act accordingly.
