Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz remains one of the most beloved players on the team, so it's not surprising that fans want a contract extension.

In his first season of a two-year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Anthony Stolarz was a true stud as he came through with a goals-against average of 2.14 and a save percentage of .926.
Going into this season, Stolarz will be sharing the net with Joseph Woll, and there is no telling who will end up winning the net long-term.

Anthony Stolarz and the Toronto Maple Leafs reach a stalemate

What we do know is that Stolarz and the Leafs have begun contract negotiations, as the goaltender will become a free agent next Summer.
Stolarz is entitled to a monstrous deal, although according to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, both sides have been unable to make progress.
No progress, as of today, on a contract extension between the Toronto Maple Leafs and goalie Anthony Stolarz, who is in the final year of his current deal. No worry from either side. Source tells me they are «still talking.»
In a teaser for next Tuesday's episode of 'Leafs Morning Take,' Stolarz told Nick Alberga and Jay Rosehill that all he wants is to be paid what he deserves.
Just getting paid fairly.
Stolarz has never been a clear-cut number one in his career, and he has never received a long-term deal before. With that being said, it's clear that he wants some stability.
Given the goaltending market right now, Stolarz should sleep easily knowing that if the Leafs move on, there will be plenty of other teams looking to acquire him.
Either way, we hope to see a huge year from the goaltender, and we hope the contract dispute has a quick resolution.
