Auston Matthews & Mitch Marner Deliver Heartfelt Tributes to Nazem Kadri

Nazem Kadri just celebrated the 1000th game of his NHL career, and as it turns out, former Toronto Maple Leafs teammates Auston Matthews & Mitch Marner pitched in.
If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, you probably have a ton of memories of Nazem Kadri in a blue and white jersey.
Unfortunately, he now plays for the Calgary Flames, and still, Maple Leafs fans find themselves begging for a trade, even if it is unlikely.
Recently, Nazem Kadri celebrated his 1000th NHL game, and he got to do so with the help of his current and former teammates.
Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews team up again
For instance, Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner leant their voices to a special video that was played ahead of the Flames' matchup.
Matthews was wearing his Leafs gear, while Marner was wearing his Vegas Golden Knights gear. It was a heartwarming tribute, and one that Toronto Maple Leafs fans can appreciate.
At the end of the day, this was a bittersweet moment for a lot of Maple Leafs fans who still love Kadri, to this day.
It is cool to see Matthews and Marner honor the forward, especially since it has been so long since he played for the Maple Leafs.
It just goes to show that Kadri is a respected guy within the Leafs organization. People like him, and they wanted to see him honored.
Going forward, it will be very interesting to see if the Maple Leafs continue to pursue a Kadri trade, or let that ship sail permanently.
Whatever the case may be, Kadri has had a wonderful career, and we continue to wish him the best of luck.
