A controversial former NHL player just delivered a Toronto Maple Leafs hot take that is going to leave some fans in an absolute shambolic state.

If you have been watching the NHL on TNT this season, then you know how much of a Leafs fan Paul Bissonnette is.
Of course, he was heartbroken when the Leafs lost in seven games to the Florida Panthers. However, with the Carolina Hurricanes down 3-0 to the Panthers in the Eastern Conference Finals, he is feeling a lot better about his Leafs.
In fact, the energetic hockey personality has delivered a hot take for the ages that directly implicated the Core Four.

Will the Toronto Maple Leafs break up the Core Four?

With some demanding that the Leafs move on from Mitch Marner and John Tavares, Bissonnette is professing the exact opposite.
As he explained on Twitter, the Hurricanes are playing so poorly that this just proves the Core Four should stay together for at least another season.
This series makes me want to rerun the core 4 one more time. Who's with me?
If you are a Leafs fan, you cannot help but disagree with this assessment. At the end of the day, the Core Four have not made it past the second round in almost a decade.
Not to mention, it is very likely that Mitch Marner leaves in free agency, regardless.
Overall, Paul Bissonnette's comments are a bit overzealous and they are not representative of the average Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
At the end of the day, Biz should just keep the roster decisions to general manager Brad Treliving.
