Craig Berube Calls Out Auston Matthews Ahead of Game 4

Auston Matthews is one of the best players in the entire NHL, however, he has been having some problems scoring as of late.
Through nine playoff games, the forward has a total of 10 points, but only two of those are goals. For a player who has built his career on being a prolific scorer, he sure is struggling.
Of course, a lot of this has to do with his supposed lingering injury, but regardless, this is a very concerning trend, all things considered.
Craig Berube message for Auston Matthews
If the Leafs want to win the Stanley Cup, they are going to need some big goals from Matthews, and that is just not what they are getting right now.
In fact, head coach Craig Berube called out the captain while speaking to the media, noting that he needs to start hitting the net.
Listen. He is a great scorer...I'm not too worried about it. Yeah, he needs to hit the net. He's trying to hit the net. He's not trying to miss the net. I'm not going to really elaborate on that.
This is exactly what Auston Matthews needs to start doing. It is clear as day that he is struggling to hit the net and create opportunities for himself.
Even if he is injured, he is playing the games, which means he does not have an excuse right now.
The Maple Leafs are going to be playing Game 4 tonight, and they will be hoping for Matthews to be a whole lot better.
If he isn't, then the Leafs may just have to chalk this up as a wash. Hopefully, he is able to get it together sooner rather than later.
