Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube was not a happy man after the Pittsburgh Penguins decimated his team by a score of 5-2 on Saturday night.
This was the first time the Maple Leafs had lost back-to-back games since late October, which demonstrates the potency of this Maple Leafs run.
As for the results from last night, the Maple Leafs were solid when it came to their top line. This is always the case.
However, as always, the biggest issue with the Leafs was their horrific bottom six that has struggled to produce anything of note, all season long.
Craig Berube speaks on the bottom six
For sure, we need some guys to contribute in the bottom six. We have to find a way to manufacture some goals from those guys for sure.
However, trades are hard to come by and teams will play hardball with the Leafs, knowing their situation.
With last night's loss, the Leafs now have a record of 16-9-2 which is still pretty solid as they had won 10 of their last 12 prior to this losing streak.
