Craig Berube just compared Maple Leafs forward Matthew Knies to two legends

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has a ton of young players to work with, and one of them happens to be forward Matthew Knies.
Knies is a player who many believe can be a future star with the franchise. He has consistently gotten better, and this season, he has started off strong with five goals and one assist in the first 10 games.
Despite the strong start, the Leafs want to see more development from Knies. With that in mind, Knies is already reminded Berube of some pretty legendary players. In a piece from Maple Leafs Hot Stove, it was revealed that Berube recently compared Knies to some pretty big names.
"I look at big guys like Keith Tkachuk and Bill Guerin, from back in the day, who were power forwards. A John LeClair type - those kinds of guys I have been around, played with, or played against. You are a heavy guy and a good forechecker, and then you are around the net all the time.
He is doing a very good job of that. He can skate extremely well and is really powerful. He plays north. He is doing a good job of getting to the net with [Marner and Matthews]. He lets them do their thing, and he is around the net."

Hopefully, Knies doesn't let this get to his head, or worse, feel an immense amount of pressure because of it. Regardless, we're sure Leafs fans would be more than happy if Knies ends up having a career close to Tkachuk's or Guerin's.
