Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has formed his lineup for Game 6 against the Ottawa Senators and once again, Nick Robertson is a healthy scratch.
In two playoff games against the Toronto Maple Leafs,
Nick Robertson was able to manage one assist and that was about it.
Overall, the Maple Leafs forward has been a frequent healthy scratch this season and that has extended to the postseason. Head coach Craig Berube has mostly gone with
Max Pacioretty.
This has proven to be a controversial decision especially with the Leafs losing their last couple of games. Some fans feel like Robertson could add a lot to the team right now.
Nick Robertson out of Toronto Maple Leafs lineup again
At this stage, the Maple Leafs need a jolt to win the series, but it will not come in the form of the embattled third-liner.
«I just didn't feel that we needed that right now. There's a lot to like in our game the way it's going.»
This cannot be an easy pill for Robertson to swallow right now. He has done his best this season, but inconsistency has put him in the doghouse.
If the Maple Leafs make it past the Senators, perhaps we will see him against the Florida Panthers in the next round.
However, the Leafs have to be focused on their current task at hand. The Panthers are no joke and as it turns out, neither are the Ottawa Senators.
Hopefully, these Leafs can hang on for dear life and give the fans what they've been wanting since last Saturday night.
