Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll has come into relieve Anthony Stolarz and after a win on Wednesday night, head coach Craig Berube spoke to the media.

Joseph Woll was given the impossible task of replacing Anthony Stolarz in Game 1 on Monday and there is no doubt that he was feeling the rust throughout the game.
However, he got more comfortable as the game went on and that was certainly noticeable in Game 2 as he stopped 26 out of 29 shots Sure, there was a softy in there, but he also made a huge save while up 4-3 that sealed the win.
It was a very solid game for Woll and with the Maple Leafs up 2-0 in this series, they really cannot complain about anything right now. Quite frankly, it is smooth sailing out here.

Craig Berube on Joseph Woll

After last night's game, head coach Craig Berube all but sealed Woll's fate with Matt Murray hanging in the wings.
Essentially, Berube admitted that the goaltender played a phenomenal game and that he is quite happy with how the game went.
«Very calm and cool in net. Making the saves, the pucks are coming to the net all the time when you're playing Florida very impressed with him tonight»
Needless to say, as long as Anthony Stolarz is out, Joseph Woll will be the starting goaltender and that's it.
If Stolarz does come back, it will be very interesting to see if the Maple Leafs decide to put him back in the net, especially if Woll is playing well.
At the end of the day, this is exactly why you want to have two viable goaltenders on your team.
When one goes down, the other rises to the occasion. It has been amazing to watch and we hope Woll continues to thrive in this series.
