Toronto Maple Leafs are going back to their choker-ish ways and it has been tough for Maple Leafs fans to watch this all go down.
Craig Berube sends the Toronto Maple Leafs a message
Game 5 was particularly bad with the Leafs losing by a score of 4-0 and barely showing any life throughout the game. As you can imagine, Berube was not happy.
However, after the game, he sent a strong but positive message to the guys in the locker room. Essentially, he just wants everyone to stay composed.
"Stick with it. We're up 3-2 in the series. It's playoff hockey, there's a lot of ups and downs. We need composure... We got to stay poised, stay composed."
While this is a great message, there is no telling what is going to happen next with this team. Game 6 is a toss-up at this stage.
After Game 3, there was a whole lot of optimism amongst Leafs fans. However, that optimism has gone out of the window and many feel like this series could be lost.
Of course, the Leafs have two more opportunities to win the series. One bad game doesn't mean this is over, by any stretch of the imagination.
Leafs fans definitely have a bit of PTSD form years past and that is most certainly manifesting right about now after two bad losses in a row.
