Down and Out Toronto Maple Leafs Forward Gets His Last Chance With the Franchise

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok has been struggling to maintain his spot on the team's roster, but today at practice, he received one final shot.
Calle Jarnkrok is a player who has a lot to prove to the Toronto Maple Leafs right now, and it remains to be seen if he will be able to get on the team's good side.
Throughout the preseason, it has felt like the forward is a lock to either be put on waivers or get traded. However, with Scott Laughton's injury and David Kampf's recent assignment to the Marlies, Jarnkrok has some hope.
The team isn't convinced that it will keep Easton Cowan to start the season, and with that in mind, Jarnkrok received a major role at practice today.
Will Calle Jarnkrok make the Toronto Maple Leafs roster?
According to Luke Fox, Jarnkrok found himself on the fourth line as the 12th forward next to Steven Lorentz and Nicolas Roy.
Easton Cowan got to play on the fourth line a bit as well, although he ended up getting a 13th forward designation, which could prove disastrous for him.
Needless to say, today means Jarnkrok is one step closer to making the Leafs roster despite his struggles over the course of the last few weeks.

Even Nick Robertson is experiencing good fortune right now, as the Toronto Maple Leafs were able to get him on the third line today.
Overall, it is going to be very interesting to see what Jarnkrok can do, and if he will be playing the first game of the season against the Montreal Canadiens.
If he does get into the lineup, then the Easton Cowan fans out there are absolutely going to be disappointed.
