Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan has yet to make his debut with the team, and former player Jay Rosehill is starting to get a bit frustrated.
Easton Cowan will not be playing against the Detroit Red Wings tonight, and many Maple Leafs fans are disappointed about this.
The kid is going to be a good player, but he can't reach new heights if he doesn't play any games. He is being suppressed, and that is no good.
In the eyes of most analysts, Cowan should be sent down to the Toronto Marlies if the Leafs won't insert him in the lineup. Sure, it's not the NHL, but at least he would get professional experience.
Jay Rosehill wants Easton Cowan
Former Toronto Maple Leafs player and current 'Leafs Morning Take' analyst Jay Rosehill is one of the people who finds it ridiculous that head coach Craig Berube won't give the kid a chance.
In the clip below, he explains how the idea of Cowan learning to become a professional by simply being around the team is just ridiculous.

Rosehill notes that some coaches refuse to change their lineup after a win, and that Craig Berube is slowly starting to become that kind of guy.
It is one of those reputations that can frustrate you as a fan and as a player who is on the outside looking in.
Only time will tell if and when Cowan will get into the lineup. If the Leafs lose and Nick Robertson has a bad game, then perhaps he gets in.
Until then, Leafs fans will simply have to continue hoping for the best as the young prospect waits patiently for his time to shine.
