Insider Delivers Stunning Revelation Involving Mitch Marner & the Ottawa Senators

Mitch Marner has been front and center for the rumor mill this offseason, and many fans are curious to see what is going to become of him.

As it stands, the word on the street is that the superstar winger will pursue free agency and leave the Toronto Maple Leafs for good.

This has led to speculation about where Marner will end up. For the most part, the Las Vegas Golden Knights, Florida Panthers, and Los Angeles Lakers have been at the top of the list.

During the most recent episode of 'The Sheet' with Jeff Marek, The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta made a shocking claim about the teams who might pursue Marner.

In the mind of Pagnotta, the Ottawa Senators are a team that might kick tires on Marner, knowing it could hurt the Leafs in a significant manner that goes beyond just the game of hockey. It would be a psychological blow.

Unfortunately for the Ottawa Senators, it has been reported that Marner likely wouldn't sign with a Canadian team due to the taxes.

This is why most of the teams on his wish list are in places with no or very little state taxes. It is a harsh reality, but it does exist.

If Marner leaves Toronto, it is doubtful he wants to stay in Ontario. He is just as recognizable in Ottawa as he would be in Toronto. The move wouldn't make sense.

Only time will tell what Marner decides and whether or not it will be to the liking of Leafs fans, or to their absolute detriment.
