When you think of some of the best players of the 2010s,
Jonathan Toews has to come to mind.
Unfortunately, health issues have kept him from playing over the last few years. But now, he is interested in making a comeback at the age of 37.
Will Jonathan Toews sign with the Toronto Maple Leafs?
This news was revealed by TSN's Pierre LeBrun, who has been on the inside track regarding the Toews situation for quite some time.
Meanwhile, Nick Alberga has reported that the Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the teams Toews is interested in. The Leafs would love some depth, and Toews is definitely a great option.
In 1067 career games, Toews has 372 goals and 883 points. He would bring a wealth of Stanley Cup experience to the team, and he could also deliver some solid production.
During his last professional season, he had 31 points in 53 games. While it may not be realistic for Toews to get back to that kind of production, something is better than nothing.
He could potentially fill the role left behind by
Max Pacioretty, who is expected to either retire or move on entirely this summer.
Jonathan Toews' comeback will be a major story of free agency, and we look forward to seeing what he decides.
