Toronto Maple Leafs assistant coach Lane Lambert was interviewed by the Seattle Kraken last week, and he was officially hired on Thursday night.
Lane Lambert has been excelling as an assistant coach for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and there is no doubt that he is a valued member of Craig Berube's staff.
Last week, it was revealed that Lambert was interviewing for the head coaching job with the Seattle Kraken.
Tonight, Elliotte Friedman revealed that Lambert was officially hired by the Kraken, making him the third head coach in the franchise's history.

This season was a very difficult one for the Seattle Kraken as they missed the playoffs yet again.
The team has only made the playoffs once, and the fanbase is begging for something good to happen. Otherwise, this expansion franchise could fail fast.
Overall, Lambert's hiring could very well bring some success to the franchise. However, it is going to be an upward climb.
The Western Conference is full of amazing teams, and the Kraken need to put in a lot of work to get there.
