Toronto Maple Leafs goalies Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz continue to dominate the net and with the NHL Playoffs on the horizon, fans should be very excited.
Anthony Stolarz and Joseph Woll have been killing it this season and have been a god send for this Leafs team as they attempt to go on a deep playoff run.
Over the years, the Leafs have struggled at times with their goaltending but this season it seems pretty clear that they have the right guys for the job, this time around.
Anthony Stolarz and Joseph Woll dominate the net
Last night, Stolarz got a shutout victory against the Montreal Canadiens and today, the Leafs got a win against the Carolina Hurricanes with Joseph Woll in goal.
Both of these goaltenders have been phenomenal and it just so happens that they are so good, they broke a longstanding record within the franchise.
According to Leafs Latest, this is the first season in team history in which two goaltenders had over 20 wins. This is pretty phenomenal and somewhat hard to believe.
Having two good goalies is always better than having one, but at the same time, it has led to some tough decisions and conversations this season.
Whatever the case may be, the Leafs are in a great position this season and the playoffs could very well be a coming out party for someone like Stolarz.
This season, Stollie has proven that he can be a starting goalie in the NHL, and his playoff experience with Florida last year could prove monumental in a few weeks from now.
With two games to go, we should have a much clearer picture on who Craig Berube goes with when the games start to mean more.
