Former Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas just made a huge move for the Pittsburgh Penguins that might end up upsetting some Leafs fans out there.
Kyle Dubas was a polarizing figure with the Toronto Maple Leafs as some felt like he ran the team as if he was constantly picturing himself in the movie "Moneyball."
By the time he left, the Maple Leafs were lacking assets, and Brad Treliving is feeling that right now as no one wants to deal with him at the trade deadline.

Meanwhile, Dubas has plenty of assets in Pittsburgh, a team that needs to retool in order to maximize Sidney Crosby's last few seasons.
Fans have been begging the Penguins to make a deadline trade and that is exactly what they did this evening.
The team has sent Michael Bunting and a fourth-round pick in 2026 to the Nashville Predators for Tommy Novak and Luke Schenn.
This is one of the biggest moves of the entire week thus far, and while there will be bigger moves made as the week goes on, there is no doubt that this one has left a lot of people stunned.
Unfortunately, this is a move that comes at the expense of the Toronto Maple Leafs, who were very much interested in acquiring Luke Schenn.
The Maple Leafs also wanted to get Brayden Schenn, and there were rumblings that the team would try to unite the brothers on the same team for a playoff run.
Although this was a far-fetched idea from the get-go, it was certainly something that would have energized the fanbase.
Now, fans are feeling frustrated with Brad Treliving, who has yet to make a blockbuster trade since coming to the team two years ago.
Time is running out, and if the Leafs don't make a deal, then these next few weeks could be very long for management.
