Toronto Maple Leafs superstar John Tavares is looking to one-up himself after a 38-goal season, and this offseason, he has found himself giving back.
This offseason, the forward has mostly been absent from the limelight. Instead, he has been spending time with family and having a relaxing summer.
However, that all changed this past week, as Tavares participated in a charity hockey game that he has always had deep ties to.

As you can see below, the former Leafs captain was on the ice in Barrie, Ontario, for the Boots and Hearts Barn Burner. He was among PWHL stars at the event, and it seems like it was a huge success.
It is always cool to watch players give back to their communities and try to blaze a trail for the next generation of hockey players.
This season is going to be a fascinating one for John Tavares, for a multitude of reasons. Namely, the fact that he is getting older.
After scoring 38 goals last season, no one really knows if he is going to be able to be the same player and deliver similar production.
However, with
William Nylander by his side, he will certainly have an opportunity to rack up a ton of points.
If the Maple Leafs have a successful season, a lot of it will be thanks to the efforts of Tavares, and what is left of the Core Four.
