Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matthew Knies is an incredible player, and fans of the team want him to be protected and healthy for a very long time.

Matthew Knies is easily one of the best and most exciting players on the Toronto Maple Leafs right now. He recently signed a new contract, and he is likely to play on the top line with Auston Matthews again.
Going into this season, fans are hoping to see Knies take yet another leap. If he can get to the 30-goal mark, then a lot of fans are going to be excited.
Of course, that is going to be difficult without Mitch Marner by his side. Regardless, Knies is in for a big year, and we cannot wait to watch him play.

Matthew Knies makes an important decision

Knies is a player that fans want to keep healthy for years to come, and when it comes to the wrists and the neck, those are two vulnerable areas.
However, as it turns out, Knies is doing everything he can this upcoming season to make sure that he stays safe at all times.
Matthew Knies trying out the new Warroad Hockey TILO Cut-Resistant Neck & Wrist Base Layer for the first time.

He had been wearing the TILO without the neck guard since his college days, but says he owes it to his friends and family to stay protected.
Neck protection is going to be grandfathered into the NHL soon with the next CBA, which is definitely something that is well overdue in hockey.
Whatever the case may be, hockey fans want the players to live long lives, and neck gear is going to be able to help them do that at all times.
Knies has a bright future ahead, and his most recent decision could inspire other young hockey players to do the same.
That said, it is clear that the forward is an incredible role model for kids everywhere.
