Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving has a lot to think about this Summer; however, according to one reporter, he may not have a chance to.

Brad Treliving had a lot to worry about throughout this season. Of course, he has quite a few players looking for new contracts, including Mitch Marner and John Tavares.
Furthermore, there have been doubts about his roster's ability to win in the playoffs, and as a result, he was constantly looking to add grit and toughness.
However, once again, the Toronto Maple Leafs were proven to be playoff chokers, and now, there are concerns about Treliving's future with the franchise.

Are the Maple Leafs firing Brad Treliving?

While some believe Brendan Shanahan should be fired and Treliving should be promoted to President, there are some rumblings that Treliving could be gone altogether.
This report comes from Luke Fox of Sportsnet, who made the claim while speaking to Nick Kypreos and Justin Bourne.
Are we 100% sure Treliving is coming back? They haven't set a date yet for the management conference... From what I'm hearing they're still making decisions and there could be changes way up top. I think for the most part, the performance was good. He's done a lot of good things. I think it's more so the whole team is under new ownership in Rogers that calls the shots and doesn't have to go to a board anymore and the fact Shanahan's contract is up. If you're making changes top-down, I think it's a sense of everything is on the table. I absolutely believe he deserves another chance, but the sense I'm getting is there could be a lot of changes and it might go beyond just Shanahan.
It is hard to imagine a world in which Brad Treliving is actually let go by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Overall, it just doesn't seem like a very fair compromise.
However, there is no denying that the Leafs fandom is fed up with how things have been going. They want this team to succeed in the playoffs, and as constructed, that is not possible.
In the coming days and weeks, we will likely find out about Shanahan's future and whether he is really going to be fired.
As for Treliving, we imagine he will be given at least one more year to try and figure all of this out.
