Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matthew Knies seemingly signed a contract extension on Sunday; however, the latest development has some fans wondering what happened.
Matthew Knies and the Toronto Maple Leafs reportedly came to terms on a six-year contract extension on Sunday, worth a total of $46.5 million.
Soon after the deal was announced, Matthew Knies took to his Instagram story, where he told Leafs Nation that he was sticking around for another six years.
However, according to numerous Leafs fan accounts on X, Knies deleted the story soon after. There was no explanation, and to make things even weirder, the leafs have yet to officially announce the signing.
