Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matthew Knies got injured during Game 6 against the Florida Panthers and there were concerns about his readiness for Game 7.

In Game 6, Matthew Knies took a huge hit to his leg that left him in unbearable pain and he was forced to miss a ton of shifts.
However, it would appear as though Matthews Knies is feeling a lot better about things right now.
We know this because it was just reported that he was on the ice for morning skate ahead of Game 7. Simply put, he's playing.
It was later revealed by Luke Fox of Sportsnet that the forward is doing like rushes with Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner which means he is ready to play.
Knies' status heading into this game was a huge point of contention, especially as it pertains to that leg that was giving him problems.
That said, the kid is a warrior and he wants to go out there and compete with his teammates tonight in what could be a truly remarkable matchup.

Tonight is a Game 7 with a lot of stakes on the line, especially for guys like Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner who need to cement their legacy.
Going to the Eastern Conference Finals would be massive for this franchise and the Carolina Hurricanes are waiting.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs have the gull and gumption to go out, compete, and get themselves the win.
If they do pull it off, then the city of Toronto is going to be jumping for joy for a very long time and rightfully so.
