Matthew Knies is expected to spend most of the summer at home in Minnesota, training consistently with his former University of Minnesota teammates who've since made the jump to the NHL, including Jackson LaCombe and Jimmy Snuggerud.
He's likely to focus on adding more explosiveness to his skating and continue bulking up to become one of the league's more dominant power forwards.

Knies wants to prove himself as a power forward, and it seems like those are his intentions while training in Minnesota.
