Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price had some choice words for the Toronto Maple Leafs this past week while at a charity event in his city.
Carey Price is a goaltender who Toronto Maple Leafs fans know all too well. Of course, he was the driving force behind the Leafs' 2021 Playoff collapse against the Montreal Canadiens.
During his career, he put up a record of 27-17-5 with a 2.69 GAA and .914 SV% against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
These numbers are actually below Price's career averages, however, Leafs fans know all too well just how good this future Hall of Famer is.
Carey Price hates the Toronto Maple Leafs
If there is one team in the world that Price hates the most, it would be the Toronto Maple Leafs. This hatred fuels him every single day, and he never lets up.
In fact, at a recent charity event in Montreal, Carey Price took a major shot at the Maple Leafs, noting that their loss to the Florida Panthers in Game 7 brought him major satisfaction.
Nobody likes to see the Maple Leafs lose more than me.
However, in classy fashion, Price did back it up a bit and noted that the Leafs' performance against the Panthers was somewhat impressive.
Being able to push a series to seven games against a team of the Panthers' caliber is good.
Carey Price's playing career might be over, but he will forever be considered the best goalie of the 2010s. It truly is a shame that he couldn't win a Stanley Cup.
As for the Toronto Maple Leafs, their hatred of Price and the Montreal Canadiens will remain mutual. That will never not be the case.
