With free agency about a month away, the Toronto Maple Leafs have just made an announcement that could very well shape the franchise's entire summer.
This is going to be one of the biggest offseasons in the history of the Toronto Maple Leafs. They have to sign players like John Tavares and Matthew Knies, while also figuring out if Mitch Marner will be part of their long-term plans.
Overall, general manager Brad Treliving has his work cut out for him, and fans are very curious about what kind of moves he will be making.
His job is not an easy one, and fans are not envious of what he must be going through right about now.
Brad Treliving to host Toronto Maple Leafs press conference
On Tuesday, it was revealed that the Toronto Maple Leafs would be having a press conference on Thursday morning, where Treliving would address the media.
Well, that was confirmed earlier today as the Leafs have made it clear that tomorrow's press conference will be live-streamed.
General Manager Brad Treliving will hold a press conference tomorrow, Thursday, May 29th at 10am ET
There is a lot of anxiety concerning this press conference, and for good reason. Some believe we could get some clarity on what Mitch Marner wants to do in free agency.
Meanwhile, others believe we could find out what happened with Brendan Shanahan and whether or not Treliving has an increased role with the franchise.
Whatever the case may be, this is a trying time for the Leafs organization as they must figure out their plan of attack for years to come.
Only time will tell whether or not this team ends up getting better or worse in time for next season.
