On Saturday night, the Maple Leafs are playing against the Montreal Canadiens, and after two periods, the score is tied at 0-0.
Rielly became the story in the second period after a bad pass that led to a huge hit on John Tavares from Kaiden Guhle. It was such a big hit that Max Domi had no choice but to get involved.
Max Domi fights Kaiden Guhle
To be fair to
Domi, Guhle had two massive hits in one shift and the Leafs needed some sort of pick me up.
As a result, Domi decided to drop the gloves with Guhle and the two engaged in one of the more spirited tilts of the entire Toronto Maple Leafs season.
Maple Leafs reporter Luke Fox described what happened perfectly and it just goes to show the season Morgan Rielly is having.
Max Domi fights Kaiden Guhle for clean, hard open-ice hit on John Tavares. Suicide pass by Morgan Rielly to Tavares, though. Domi gets the extra 2 for instigating.
This is a huge game for the Toronto Maple Leafs who are attempting to get themselves the Atlantic Division title.
Meanwhile, the Montreal Canadiens want to make the playoffs which is not going to be an easy task. A win for both of these teams tonight would go a long way.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs can break the deadlock and come through with a huge victory. It would go a long way with this fanbase.
