We Now Know Who the Toronto Maple Leafs will Probably Play in the First Round of the NHL Playoffs

With the NHL playoffs just about a week away, it would appear as though we now know who the Toronto Maple Leafs will play in the all important first round.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are currently in the midst of a battle for the Atlantic Division title with the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Panthers.
At this point in the season, it would appear as though the Leafs have the advantage, and fans are expecting them to close it out and prove they have what it takes to make a deep run.
Not to mention, winning the Division would allow them to avoid a first round matchup against difficult teams like the Panthers and Lightning.
Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Ottawa Senators
Winning the division would allow for a first-round matchup against the first Wild Card team seeing as though the Washington Capitals are guaranteed to get the second Wild Card squad.
At this point, it is looking likelier than ever that the Senators are going to be that team. So much so that the oddsmakers have the Leafs playing their Ontario rivals in the first round.
The odds are looking to be around 76 percent in favor of the Leafs going up against the Senators, and that should excite hockey fans everywhere.
The Maple Leafs have struggled with the Senators this season so for some, this might actually be a very scary prospect.
However, the Leafs are one of those teams that can prove people wrong, and we sure hope that they do. Another first-round exit would be unacceptable at this point.
Based on the way Craig Berube has this team playing, it is fair to believe that things are actually different this time around.
That said, some fans will only believe it when they see it and that is extremely fair.
