Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner is expected to enter free agency on July 1st, and his wish list is beginning to expand at a rapid pace.

Mitch Marner is going to be the most sought-after free agent during the summer, and it seems like he is going to take his time before making a decision.
New reports are coming out daily, and every single one makes it seem as though his agent, Darren Ferris, is about to employ some devious tactic to get his client as much money as possible.
Meanwhile, his free agency wishlist continues to grow, and the fans are eager to see how all of this is going to play out.

A new report from Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic suggests that the forward is willing to take a two-year deal and make more money in 2027, when the salary cap goes up.
This is a cheap tactic, but in that report, it was also revealed that Marner is willing to sign with the Dallas Stars, which is odd given the fact that Mikko Rantanen already signed there at $12 million per season.
Mitch Marner is considering a potential two-year deal worth around $12-13 million per season, setting himself up to hit the market again when the cap jumps to $113 million or more.

The risk is injury, but at 28, he'd be 30 when hitting UFA status again. The Golden Knights, Kings, and Stars are believed to be high on his list-though Dallas is a long shot given their financial commitment to Mikko Rantanen.
The Dallas Stars probably won't have much money left for Marner, and it is doubtful they would want to pay the forward any more than they are paying Rantanen.
Quite frankly, Marner is overestimating his value right now. There is no way he should ever make more than Rantanen, given his playoff misgivings.
He has frequently underperformed under the bright lights, and the fans in Toronto will be the first people to tell you that.
Moving forward, Marner and Ferris will have to go through quite the process, and we are eager to see who will end up with the controversial superstar.
