Toronto Maple Leafs to Firmly Reject Mitch Marner's Latest Ask

There were some reports that Marner and his camp weren't even talking to the Maple Leafs, and that they preferred not to return phone calls.

However, it wasn't long before a new report surfaced stating how the Toronto Maple Leafs were granted a meeting with Marner. Clearly, the winger wants to hear what they have to say.

Despite this meeting, it seems as though Marner has already made up his mind about the Leafs. For all intents and purposes, the superstar winger is gone once he gets the offer he wants elsewhere.

According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Maple Leafs are well aware of this reality. As a result, they are planning to reject the winger's meeting request.

Simply put, the Leafs are letting the forward walk. Things have become too toxic, and they are cutting their losses. It's a bold move, but the right one.

It has also been reported that Mitch Marner wants to take a few weeks before making his decision final. The Leafs simply do not have any time to waste. They need an answer from Marner immediately.
