Mitch Marner Demoted Just Three Games Into His Las Vegas Golden Knights Tenure

Former Toronto Maple Leafs forward is attempting to make an impression with the Las Vegas Golden Knights, which has been easier said than done so far this year.
Mitch Marner is someone who is quite polarizing to the average Toronto Maple Leafs fan these days. His departure was long and drawn out, with a hint of disrespect.
While Leafs fans must move on from his departure, there are still those who are interested in his tenure with the Vegas Golden Knights and whether or not it will result in some playoff success.
There are a ton of fans rooting against Marner, and so far, this endeavor has been successful as the forward has struggled at times while on a line with Jack Eichel.
While he had a couple of assists in the first game, he ended up going point-less in games two and three, which led to some drastic lineup changes.

For instance, Marner was demoted to the Golden Knights' second line for tonight's match against the Calgary Flames.
It appears as though Marner got the message as he came through with a two-point performance in a win. It was the kind of game Marner needed to get back on track.

Going forward, it will be very interesting to see what line they keep Marner on. If he is better without Eichel, then the team may have no choice but to keep him on the second line.
This could lead to some issues with Marner's camp, although he got his payday, so he should be happy and just leave it at that.
Soon, we will know whether or not Marner really was the biggest catch of free agency.
