Jake McCabe's Comments About Easton Cowan Will Have Leafs Nation Jumping for Joy

Easton Cowan played his second NHL game tonight against the Nashville Predators, and it was definitely a successful one.

He got an assist on an Auston Matthews goal, while the Maple Leafs ended up winning the game by a score of 7-4.

It was the kind of game that got Cowan recognized by both the fans and the players on his own team. Even defenseman Jake McCabe had to say something.

After the first period Tuesday night, McCabe was asked about Cowan and whether or not he thought the rookie was doing a good job.

This led to an amazing answer from the defenseman, who had nothing but praise for the rookie, stating how every game, he gets a lot better.

If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, you can't help but be excited about Cowan, especially when you see him developing so quickly.

He has been sensational on the first line, and it really does feel like he should stay there going forward. He hasn't done anything to be taken off the line.

With the Leafs turning the tides against the Predators tonight, we can only hope that this turns into a bit of a winning streak. The team needs to start racking up points.

Cowan has an opportunity to truly be a mainstay on this team, and that is an exciting prospect.
